When you are lucky enough to live in Paris, you don’t enjoy it as much as for holidays. It’s also true when you work near a touristic place. It took me a long time to realize that I was working close to the Champ de Mars. And it’s precisely (or almost) at the corner of the rue de Suffren and the avenue de la Motte Piquet that I take you today. Lire la suite

Friday 13th, concert at the Olympia with my sister. Great opportunity to gain strength before screaming like crazy girls until we lose our voice! The appointment is given on the other side of the Place de l’Opéra to discover a Korean restaurant, a classic when I eat with my sister. Tonight, we’re betting on Dochilak. The choice is made on the decoration: very sober with lots of light, tables and block seats but enhanced with turquoise cushions. Lire la suite

Let’s head to Mouton-Duvernet (or Denfert-Rochereau) for a dinner full of emotions to see a friend I haven’t seen for a while. As always, I try to find a geographical common ground and suggest a small list of specialty to choose. So here we are on our way to Kakdougui, a small Korean discovery. Not very Korean a name? It should be pronounced Kaktugui and it’s the name of a Korean recipe based on white radish.

If you follow the posts on my Facebook account (yes, I don’t only post to tell you when a new article is online), you surely read that since last week until Sunday October 1 is the eighth edition of #tousaurestaurant. It is in this context that I went with my best friend at the Café le Baron, located between Le Peletier and Cadet, which offers a menu at 59 € for the occasion (which means 29 € 50 per person because one menu purchased = the second offered).

After a quiet Saturday, it’s time to think about the best ways to spend Sunday. Place of the crime: a café we spotted in the beginning of the summer and that some of you may have already seen on my Instagram. You need to be there early enough not to have to wait 2 hours before entering the building but you do not need to come too early either … After all, it it’s Sunday! The deal is quickly made: we take an appointment for a brunch at 11:30. Let’s head to rue de Mogador and go to Braun Notes Coffee. Lire la suite

Saturday night, time to go out. Everything is scheduled but we need a small technical stop to start with good basics and a full belly. The choice of the restaurant depends on our program and this time, I’m looking for a place along the subway line 10. Considering the starting point of each participant and the final destination, the solution is Odéon!

Well, you are quite a few to complain because I haven’t posted a brunch on this blog yet. So I’ll take you to the 11th, near the Alexandre Dumas’ station, in my old favorite Sunday canteen. Why old ? Because time flies and I don’t live next to it anymore, but it’s always wonderful to go across Paris to enjoy this REAL buffet… Lire la suite
